HSUVI Signs MOU with LoRDA

Excitement In The Air As HSUVI Contracts MOU With LoRDA Research Centre.

A Memorandum Of Understanding has been signed between Hope Social Union For The Visually Impaired (HSUVI) and the LoRDA Research Centre. The signing ceremony took place on Saturday June 17 2023, at the mile 6 Nkwen head office of the LoRDA Research Centre.

Speaking at the occasion, the CEO of LoRDA Dr. Ndamsa Dickson Thomas remarked that his organisation which is a come together of dexterous lecturers aimed at bridging the Gap between tutors and students in the areas of research, data collection and analysis, was pleased and excited to concretise it’s partnership with HSUVI, which hitherto existed informerly. He further recalled the fact that LoRDA had invited Mr.Ngong Peter Tonain, president of HSUVI to provide IT training for some of his members and other students with visual impairement,in the University of Bamenda so as to better equip them for an effective and high quality research.

Dr. Ndamsa announced that thanks to his organisation’s partnership with HSUVI, all services offered by his organisation are free for persons with visual impairement. On the way forward, the CEO pledged to ensure his organisation finds common areas of interest for both organisation’s,so together they can bring inauvative solutions to society’s problems and source for project funding.


On his part, the president of HSUVI MR Ngong Peter Tonain averted that his organisation whose goal is to improve on the lives for persons with visual impairement in particular but those with disabilities in general, was overwhelmed with joy signing the MOU.
He pledged to ensure that the partnership bears much fruit in three years.
HSUVI was equally pleased to commence the networking process with a potential partner organisation known as the Reforestation Task Force (RETAFO) a partner to LoRDA whith whom LoRDA equally signed an MOU after all, “A friend to a friend is a friend” so it is said.

Let Jesus be praised now and forever!
I’m so glad that Uncle P taught me adapted computer usage at LoRDA and has equally taken me with the use of adapted smartphone training at HSUVI.
Great thanks to the two organizations for prioritizing the interests of persons with visual impairments like me.
